In the immediate surroundings of Village Ocelandes you find the villages of Saint-Julien-en-Born, Contis-Plage and Lit-et-Mixe. Somewhat more remote are Mimizan and its Mimizan plage.

In these villages you find a great variety of shops and nice restaurants. In summer there are various markets with many local products.

Village Ocelandes is situated in the French department Les Landes of the District of Aquitaine. The beautiful coastal strip of this region stretches from Arcachon to the Spanish border.

Directly behind the coast you will find extensive pinewoods and large lakes amongst which are the lakes of Léon, Aureilhan, Biscarosse and Parentis.

In the surroundings of Village Ocelandes there are many towns worth visiting. Bordeaux is the most important town of Aquitaine.

Other well-known towns in this district are Arcachon, Dax, Biarritz, Bayonne, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Lourdes and Spanish San Sebastian.

The beaches on the south coast of the Atlantic Ocean are rated among the most beautiful of France. They are covered with fine sand and are long and wide.

On the nearby beaches of Contis-Plage, Cap de l’Homy and Mimizan-Plage sunbathing is delightful and you can enjoy the often spectacular surf.
